Easy Terrain The morning kicks off with a visit to Panorama Point for a breathtaking sunrise, followed by an exploration of the famous Echo, Monkey, and Louisa Points. After witnessing these dramatic valley views, you will head to the colonial-era market to experience the local culture and perhaps enjoy an optional horse ride along the red-mud paths. The day concludes with a hearty local dinner and a cozy bonfire session under the stars, perfect for bonding with your fellow travelers.

Forest Walks & Sunset Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to the lush greenery of Matheran with a guided nature walk through shaded forest trails, where you can discover hidden flora and fauna. The afternoon is kept flexible for relaxation at the resort or for those seeking a thrill through optional adventure activities like ziplining or valley crossing. As evening approaches, you will trek to Porcupine Point to witness a golden sunset that paints the Sahyadri range in vibrant hues.
Day 4
Departure to Mumbai

After a final breakfast amidst the hills, you will bid farewell to the quiet trails and check out of your hotel. You can choose to take the toy train back down or enjoy a crisp morning walk to Dasturi Naka for your transfer to Neral. The tour concludes as you board your transport back to Mumbai, carrying home fond memories of the peaceful, automobile-free highlands and the nostalgic charm of the Western Ghats.

Important Notes for Travellers
Vehicle-Free Zone: Matheran is a strictly automobile-free zone. All vehicles must be parked at Dasturi Naka. From there, you must reach the hotel by walking (approx. 30–40 mins), hiring a horse, or using a hand-pulled rickshaw.
Toy Train Availability: The Toy Train is operated by Central Railways and is subject to weather conditions and track maintenance. In the event of a sudden cancellation, alternative transport (shuttle taxi) will be arranged to Dasturi Naka.
Walking & Footwear: This tour involves significant walking on unpaved red-mud paths. We strongly recommend wearing sturdy walking shoes or sneakers with a good grip. Avoid heels or slippers.
Eco-Sensitive Area: Matheran is an eco-sensitive region. We request all guests to avoid littering and refrain from carrying or using single-use plastic during the trails.
Monkey Menace: There are many monkeys at the viewpoints and in the market. Please keep your food items, cameras, and mobile phones securely inside your bags to avoid any snatching incidents.
Cash Availability: While some shops and hotels accept digital payments, network connectivity can be spotty. It is highly recommended to carry sufficient liquid cash for local shopping, horse rides, and tips.
Check-in Policy: Standard hotel check-in is at 12:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in is subject to room availability.
