Day 1

Morning pickup from Thrissur Railway Station by the HolidayMantra team. Board your coach and drive directly to witness the majestic Athirapally Waterfalls, fondly hailed as the “Niagara Falls of India.” Students will study the surrounding riverine ecology and lush forest ecosystems. Next, visit the nearby Vazhachal Waterfalls, a tranquil spot surrounded by dense flora. In the evening, check into your verified hotel in Athirappilly. Enjoy a warm dinner and an overnight stay in Athirappilly.
Day 2
Scenic Transit to Munnar via Cheeyappara Falls & Rose Garden (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After a fresh morning breakfast, check out and proceed toward the hill station of Munnar. En route, enjoy a stop at the picturesque Cheeyappara Waterfalls on the Kochi-Madurai Highway (NH 49). Upon arriving in Munnar by late afternoon, explore the colorful flora at the Rose Garden and take a relaxing stroll through Hydel Park. Check into your hotel in Munnar for a warm regional dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3
Munnar High-Altitude Ecology, Tea Museum & Dam Excursions (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a full day of environmental and industrial study in Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam, famous for its scenic hill views and reservoir boating options. Proceed to Echo Point for nature walks and experience its unique natural acoustic phenomena. Continue to Kundala Lake, home to the rare Neela Kurinji bloom area, and reach Top Station for breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Conclude the day with a visit to the Tea Museum to study the history, processing, and economic evolution of tea production. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 4
Munnar to Thekkady Transit & Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary Exploration (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, check out of your Munnar hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Thekkady, arriving by afternoon. After enjoying lunch, head to the famed Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Time permitting, explore local spice markets for cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon. Check into your hotel in Thekkady for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5
Departure Transfer to Ernakulam Railway Station (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)
Enjoy a fresh breakfast at the hotel, complete check-out formalities, and proceed towards Ernakulam. Important Notes for Kerala Educational Group Tours:
1. Safety, Discipline & Water Body Precautions
Waterfall & River Rules: Waterfalls like Athirapally and Vazhachal have strong underwater currents. Students are strictly forbidden from jumping over safety barriers, stepping into slippery rocks, or swimming in unapproved river sections.
Eco-Zone Discipline: Munnar hill tracks and Thekkady forests are protected ecological zones. Plastic littering, disturbing wildlife, or plucking tea leaves inside private plantations is strictly prohibited.
Property Respect: Students must maintain high behavioral discipline. Any physical damage to hotel properties, coaches, or museum exhibits will be the direct financial liability of the student or institution.
2. Accommodation & Institutional Norms
Gender Segregation: Separate wings, floors, or rooms are strictly enforced for male and female students across all hotel stays in Athirapally, Munnar, and Thekkady.
Check-In/Check-Out Timings: Hotel check-in time is typically 12:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early placement or delayed check-outs are purely subject to live room availability.
Personal Bills: Personal expenses such as laundry, room service orders, or phone calls are excluded from the base package and must be cleared directly at hotel receptions before departure.
3. Mountain Transit, Rail Coordination & Punctuality
Hill Drive Timings: Hill roads leading to Munnar and Thekkady involve sharp turns and misty weather. Strict adherence to morning departure times set by the Tour Escort is required to reach destinations before sunset.
Railway Station Reporting: Groups must arrive at Ernakulam Railway Station at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled train departures to ensure safe, organized coach boarding with group baggage.
Transit Contingencies: In cases of sudden rail delays, mountain landslides, or highway traffic disruptions, any extra expenses incurred for extended stays will be borne directly by the client.
4. Medical Preparedness & First-Aid Allocation
First-Aid Support: A basic first-aid medical kit is available onboard the coach. Students prone to motion sickness on mountain hairpins (especially en route to Munnar) must carry appropriate prescribed medications.
Emergency Medical Expenses: Clinical hospitalizations, specialized tests, or doctor visits are excluded from the package and must be handled via travel insurance or paid on-site.
5. Verification Roster & Document Submissions
Institutional Roster: The school or college administration must provide an official stamped student roster detailing full names, emergency contact numbers, blood groups, and photo ID details at least 15 days prior to the departure date.
