WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED (EXCLUSIONS):

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR YOUR TRIP:

  • Permit Essentials: For Changu Lake, Baba Mandir, and Nathula Pass, we need your Original Voter ID or Passport plus 5 photocopies and 5 recent photos. Please remember: Aadhaar Cards and PAN Cards are NOT accepted by the tourism department for these permits.

  • Traveling with Minors: If you are traveling with children under 18, please carry their original Birth Certificate (in English) and a School/College ID card.

  • Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border): Since Nathula permits are issued by the government on a “first-come, first-served” basis, they are subject to availability and weather conditions. It stays closed for tourists on Mondays and Tuesdays.

  • Mountain Weather: January in the Himalayas is beautiful but very cold! Temperatures can drop below freezing, especially at Changu Lake. We highly recommend carrying heavy woolens, thermals, gloves, and caps.

  • Large Group Logistics: Since we are a group of 50, we use a mix of large vehicles for transfers and smaller cabs for Gangtok local tours. This helps us navigate the narrow mountain roads quickly and comfortably.

  • Tiger Hill Sunrise: The local government limits the number of vehicles to Tiger Hill (600 per day). We do our best to get early morning coupons, but if they are unavailable, we will take you for a post-breakfast visit so you don’t miss the view.

  • Health & Altitude: We will be traveling to high altitudes (up to 14,000 ft). We suggest staying hydrated and carrying basic medicines for motion sickness or altitude. If you have any heart or breathing conditions, please consult your doctor before traveling.

  • Pashupati Nagar (Nepal Border): Our vehicles stop at the Indian side of the border. You can walk about 2km into the Nepal market or hire a local taxi (approx. ₹400-₹500) for shopping.

  • Unexpected Changes: In the mountains, nature is in charge! If a road is blocked due to landslides or heavy snow, we will arrange the best possible alternative sightseeing for the group.
