Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Guwahati – Kaziranga
Start your tour with arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. Then, get assisted to Kaziranga (approx. 4 hours) by our representative. On arrival, check in to the hotel and rest. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 2
Kaziranga
Wake up early for an elephant ride at 5:30 am/6:30 am. After having breakfast, go for a jeep safari in the Central Range. The safari starts from Kohora and covers Daphlang and Kathpora. After the jeep safari ends, you will be taken on a local village and tea garden tour. Return to the hotel and slide under the sheets for a restful sleep.
Day 3
Kaziranga – Shillong
Post breakfast at the Kaziranga hotel, check out. Set out for a 6-hour drive to Shillong, the ‘Scotland of the East’. On your way, stop by Umiam Lake, also called Barapani. It is the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Soak in the natural beauty and peace of this place. You can also visit the Cathedral of Mary and Ward’s Lake if time permits.

Complete the check-in at the hotel and unwind. As the sun sets, you can enjoy the rest of the day however you like. Explore the region on your own and go shopping. Spend a comfortable overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 4
Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
Today, you will be taken out for an excursion. So, after a fulfilling breakfast, proceed from Shillong to Cherrapunji (2 hours drive) and enjoy scenic views on the way. First, stop to visit the famous Elephant Falls. Once you reach Sohra, stop at the Duwan Sing Syiem viewpoint and enjoy the mesmerizing hill views.

In Cherrapunji, you will visit the Seven Sister Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. Next, you will take a short walk to reach inside the Mawsmai Cave. It is a natural wonder made of limestone and has various formations inside it. End the tour with a visit to the Ramakrishna Mission. Come back to the hotel in Shillong and enjoy a sound sleep.
Day 5
Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
On day 5 of your Assam Meghalaya with Wildlife tour, you will visit Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. Post scrumptious breakfast, get ready for an excursion. It is also called ‘God’s Own Garden’ and has 80 households. Once you reach, walk around the park.

Trek to Riwai Village (almost 8 km from Mawlynnong Village). Walk down to see the natural wonder of living root bridges. They are formed by intertwining the thick roots to make a bridge for people to cross. Later, head to Dawki and witness the crystal clear Umngot River, which appears as if the boat is floating in mid-air! Here, enjoy a boat ride and later, drive to the Bangladesh Border.
Once the tour is complete, return to Shillong and hop onto the bed for a relaxing sleep.

Day 6
Shillong – Manas National Park
The wildlife part of your Wildlife Assam Meghalaya tour starts today. Post breakfast at Shillong, check out, and make your way to Manas National Park (around 5 to 6 hours). Check in to the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Spend a comfortable stay at the jungle resort in the national park.
Day 7
Manas National Park
Get ready early in the morning for an elephant ride. Come back and have breakfast. Set off on a jeep safari in the Manas National Park Mathanguri area located amidst the gushing river. Here, enjoy the spectacular views of the misty Bhutanese Hills. Return to the jungle resort and enjoy a restful sleep.
Day 8
Manas National Park – Guwahati
Today, you will check out from the jungle resort and drive towards Guwahati, the capital of Assam (3 to 4 hours). Enjoy the scenic views en route and once reached, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Kamakhya Temple. It is among the oldest and most revered Hindu temples and centers of Tantric practices. Seek blessings from goddess Kamakhya and, afterward, come back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 9
Departure from Guwahati
Your Assam and Meghalaya wildlife tour ends today. After a leisurely breakfast, you will be dropped off at the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, from where you will go back home with unforgettable memories of your Northeast India trip.

Please note that our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation. If you cancel within one month of your reservation, we will deduct a 10% cancellation charge from your advance payment. If you cancel within one week of your reservation, the cancellation charge will be 20% of your advance payment.
