Day 1
Arrival in Colombo
Once you reach the Colombo airport, meet our tour representative, who will assist you with an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. After completing the check-in formalities, you can spend the day as you prefer. You can interact with the locals, enjoy the hotel facilities, enjoy Sri Lankan cuisine, explore the nearby surroundings on your own, and so on. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 2
Colombo- Sigiriya/Kandalama
After breakfast, leave the hotel room to explore Colombo’s tourist attractions and shop at the famous market. Stroll in this vibrant city that is an ideal mix of the new and old world. The day is scheduled to explore the city’s prime religious, historical, and commercial attractions. The list of the sites includes Viharamahadevi Park, Pettah, the Fort, Cinnamon Gardens, Galle Face Green, and so on. Get an assisted transfer to Sigiriya or Kandalama. On arrival, complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 3
Sigiriya/Kandalama-Habarana-Sigiriya/Kandalama
After an early breakfast on the 3rd day of the Sri Lanka itinerary, embark on a day trip to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was erected during the 5th century by King Kashyapa. Climb up the fort to admire some fantastic views of the surrounding area. Another attraction of the day is the world-popular frescoes of Sigiriya’s ‘Heavenly Maidens,’ a covered rock pocket accessible by a spiral stairway. In the afternoon, visit Habarana to embark on an elephant safari, spotting the region’s exotic wildlife. Back to the hotel at night for an overnight stay.
Day 4
Sigiriya/ Kandalama-Kandy
Today, after breakfast, we hit the road to Kandy. On the way, halt at any of the Spice Gardens. Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kandy, is home to several historic sites. Once you arrive in Kandy, visit the Peradeniya University campus, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Go to the Upper Lake Drive and enjoy some lovely city views. Later, you can visit the popular Kandy markets, famous for gems, batiks, jewelry, silks, handicrafts, and more. The evening is scheduled for attending a Kandyan Dance performance. Stay overnight in Kandy.
Day 5
Kandy-Beruwala
Once you have breakfast, leave for Beruwala. En route, halt at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most famed attractions in Sri Lanka. The orphanage is home to around 65 elephants of all age groups. Continue towards Beruwala. On arrival, check in at your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free. Stay overnight.
Day 6
Beruwala
On day 6 of this trip to Sri Lanka, have breakfast; the day is at leisure. You can indulge in activities that interest you. Beruwala is famous for its beaches, which attract tourists with beautiful beachy vibes. Apart from its colonial charm, you can explore the nearby surroundings, interact with the locals, and taste the sumptuous food. Established during the 8th century, this is an exciting place. Overnight stay in Beruwala.
Day 7
Departure from Beruwala
Today is the last day of this one week Sri Lanka itinerary. After breakfast at the hotel, you will receive an assisted transfer to the airport to board your flight home.
