Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Airport – Chilaw – Dambulla / Sigiriya (Approx 5.5 hrs)
You will meet our tour representative as you mark your presence at Bandaranaike International Airport. After that, you will get a private transfer from the airport to Chilaw. Next, you will get blessings from Manavari Temple, the first temple on the Ramayana Trail, and Muneshwaram Temple, known for its historical and religious significance.
After getting blessings from these temples and learning about the legends, you will move towards Chilaw to Dambulla/Sigiriya. On arrival, you will get into your pre-booked hotel, have your delicious dinner, and then enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2
Dambulla / Sigiriya – Trincomalee (Approx 2 hrs)
Get up early in the morning and commence this day of your Sri Lanka itinerary with a healthy breakfast. After having your breakfast, you will proceed to enjoy the sightseeing in Trincomalee. You will explore the golden-sand beaches, Hindu and Buddhist temples, churches, and mosques.
After exploring various attractions, you will move towards Shaktipeeth and Koneswaram Temple. Next, you will return to your hotel and munch on a lip-smacking dinner. Once you have done this, you will head to your pre-assisted room for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3
Trincomalee – Kandy (Approx. 5 hrs)
Welcome the morning sunshine from your room and have your tasty breakfast. After having your meal, you will be ready to enjoy the city tour of Kandy. It is a historic city located 480 m above sea level and encircled by mountains. You will start your sightseeing tour by visiting the Temple of the Tooth.
Next, you will be treated to a Kandyan Dance performance, a vibrant display of local culture that will enthrall you. The day will culminate with a leisurely shopping spree in Kandy, where you can pick up unique souvenirs to remember your trip. After a day filled with diverse experiences, you will return to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a comfortable night’s sleep.
Day 4
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya (Approx 2.5 hrs)
Get up from bed for a crunchy breakfast while embracing the morning vibes. After finishing your meal, you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route, you will experience a combination of greenery and a cool climate. On arrival at the Nuwara Eliya Hotel, you will check in and relax before embarking on your Sri Lanka trip.
Further, you will start this day’s trip by visiting the Hanuman and Seetha Amman Temple. These temples are significant in the Ramayana epic as they are believed to be the places where Hanuman first met Sita and where she underwent the Agni Pariksha. In these temples, you will witness the collections of statues, including a couple of Kali images. Besides that, the legends connected with temples are fascinating. Later, you will move towards your hotel and have your delicious dinner, then jump onto the bed for a comfortable and sound sleep.
Day 5
Nuwara Eliya – Colombo (5.5 hrs approx)
Rise and shine with the fresh wind of the morning and munch on your crunchy breakfast. Once done, you will check out from the hotel and get a swift transfer to Colombo. On arrival at your pre-booked hotel, you will check in and move towards your room. After that, you will rest for a while and visit Anjaneyar Temple.
Later, you will get blessings from another famous temple in Sri Lanka, Kelaniya Temple. Next, you will see the Kalani River and admire the view of the surrounding area. If time permits, you can explore the other attractions of Colombo that give you a better outlook on the modernity of Sri Lanka. After filling your heart with experiences and positive vibes, you will return to your hotel and have a luscious breakfast. Then, slide into the bed for a peaceful sleep in Colombo.
Day 6
Departure
Wake up early on this climax day of your Ramayana tour package – Sri Lanka. After having your morning meal, pack your bag and check out from the hotel. You will get a swift transfer to reach the airport, where you will take the flight for your onward journey.
